Home technology programs pass Level III accreditation

The Bachelor of Science in Food Technology and BS in Textile and Garment Technology (collectively referred to as Home Technology Programs) passed the Level III accreditation done by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) last March 1-4.

The two curricular programs are offerings of the College of Home Science and Industry headed by Dean Hilaria Cuaresma. Dr. Eden Agcaoili is the CHSI accreditation team leader.

Moreover, the four science programs of the Institute of Graduate Studies passed Level I accreditation. These are the masteral programs on Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Management and Veterinary Studies.

In the undergraduate level, the Development Communication and Science (Statistics) programs passed Level I accreditation. The BS Accountancy and BS Civil Engineering programs assessment, however, are ongoing to qualify for Level III and are up for revisit, between June 2011 and May 2012 said Dr. Mario S. Suba, university accreditation coordinator.
